ITINERARY

08:00 – Guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi for the journey to Ninh Binh, one of northern Vietnam’s most spectacular natural and cultural destinations.

09:45 – 10:00 – Arrive in Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the former capital of Vietnam during the 10th and 11th centuries. Surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains and peaceful countryside landscapes, Hoa Lu is located in a semi-mountainous region rich in caves and natural beauty.

Visit to Bich Dong Pagoda, celebrated for its elegant architecture and tranquil atmosphere nestled against the mountainside. Discover the fascinating history of Vietnam’s early dynasties and learn about the nation’s foundation and defense over a thousand years ago. Visit the ancient temples dedicated to King Dinh Temple and King Le Temple, two important historical monuments honoring the emperors who played significant roles in Vietnamese history. These temples are remarkable examples of traditional Vietnamese architecture, featuring intricate wood carvings, ancient stone works, and peaceful spiritual surroundings.

11:45 – Enjoy a leisurely bicycle ride through the beautiful countryside of Ninh Binh or relax at your own pace before lunch.

13:00 – Savor a delicious lunch featuring local specialties of Ninh Binh at a traditional restaurant.

14:00 – 17:00 – Continue to Tam Coc, often referred to as the “Second Most Beautiful Cave under Heaven” and famously known as “Ha Long Bay on land.” Tam Coc consists of three natural caves — Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba — formed over millions of years through the erosion of limestone mountains.

Embark on a peaceful sampan boat ride along the Ngo Dong River, gliding through emerald waters surrounded by towering limestone karsts, lush rice fields, and breathtaking natural scenery. The poetic landscape creates a truly unforgettable experience, offering visitors a glimpse into the serene beauty of rural Vietnam.

The journey then continues to Mua Cave, one of the most iconic viewpoints in Ninh Binh, often described as the “hidden gem of Tam Coc” or the “Great Wall of Vietnam.” After climbing nearly 500 stone steps to the summit, visitors are rewarded with a spectacular panoramic view of Tam Coc’s limestone mountains, winding rivers, and vast rice fields. Depending on the season, the landscape transforms into a vibrant tapestry of lush green or golden rice fields, creating one of the most picturesque scenes in northern Vietnam.

17:30 – 19:00 – Return to Hanoi and transfer back to your hotel. End of the Ninh Binh tour.
