OVERVIEW OF THAILAND
Thailand has an area of approximately 513,000 km² and is a country with diverse geography, including fertile plains in the Central region, mountain ranges in the North, the Northeastern Plateau, and thousands of beautiful islands in the South. It is also one of the countries with the most developed tourism industries in Asia.
Thailand has a tropical monsoon climate, divided into three main seasons: the cool season (November – February), the hot season (March – May), and the rainy season (June – October). The ideal time to travel is from November to February, when the weather is dry and pleasant.
The capital of Thailand is Bangkok, which is also the country’s largest economic, cultural, and tourism hub. In addition, there are many famous destinations such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi, Hua Hin, and Koh Samui.
