 Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi – The Vibrant Capital of Vietnam

Noi Bai International Airport – Hotel: ≈ 30 km

Welcome to Hanoi, a city where centuries-old traditions blend harmoniously with modern life. Upon your arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our guide or driver and transferred comfortably to your hotel in the heart of the city.

On the way, enjoy your first glimpses of Hanoi’s dynamic streets, where motorbikes, colonial architecture, and tree-lined boulevards create a unique atmosphere.

After check-in (available from 14:00), the rest of the day is at your leisure. You may relax at the hotel, take a gentle walk around the neighborhood, or simply soak in the vibrant energy of Vietnam’s capital. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour – Overnight Train to Lao Cai (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will begin discovering the capital city of Vietnam.

  • Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside visit), Ba Dinh Square where Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, a simple wooden house where he lived from 1958 until his death in 1969, and the One Pillar Pagoda, built on a single stone pillar and surrounded by a lotus pond, creating a picturesque setting for visitors. 
  • Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam, located on the shores of West Lake in Hanoi. Dating back to the 6th century, it is an important religious and cultural site, famous for its traditional Vietnamese architecture and iconic multi-level tower. 
  • If you wish, you may also visit Dong Xuan Market, the largest covered market in Hanoi and a lively place to experience local culture. Established in 1889, it offers clothing, household items, souvenirs, and delicious street food. 

Continue exploring Hanoi’s Old Quarter, the historic heart of the city where ancient Vietnamese culture blends harmoniously with modern daily life. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, two of Hanoi’s most iconic attractions. Stroll around the peaceful lake and admire the famous red bridge leading to the temple. You may also enjoy wandering through the nearby old streets filled with history, culture, and local cuisine.

At the end of the tour, enjoy the opportunity to taste Hanoi’s famous egg coffee while immersing yourself in the unique atmosphere of the city and observing local coffee traditions.

Day 3: Sapa Visit – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (Breakfast)

Arrival in Lao Cai, followed by a private transfer of approximately 40 km to Sapa.

Today is dedicated to a beautiful trekking excursion through the breathtaking Sapa Valley. Begin your walk from lively Cau May Street in the center of Sapa town.

Follow a small trail crossing the Muong Hoa River to reach the Black Hmong village. Passing through stunning rice terraces, you will visit the picturesque villages of Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai, and Ta Van. Here, you can immerse yourself in the daily life of local ethnic communities, admire traditional houses, and enjoy authentic cultural exchanges. The beauty of nature and the richness of local traditions will make this experience unforgettable.

Day 4: Sapa Visit – Lao Cai – Return to Hanoi by Limousine Bus (Breakfast)

Lao Cai – Hanoi: ≈ 290 km

Morning visit to Ta Phin and Ma Tra villages, where ancient traditions blend with breathtaking landscapes. Discover local hospitality, admire traditional handicrafts, and learn about the daily life of ethnic communities.

Return to Hanoi by Limousine bus. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi – Ninh Binh, known as “Halong Bay on Land” (Breakfast)

Hanoi – Ninh Binh: ≈ 90km

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, often called “Halong Bay on land” thanks to its spectacular karst landscapes and peaceful river scenery.

Continue to Tam Coc for a relaxing boat ride through rice fields and limestone cliffs. Visit Bich Dong Pagoda, famous for its beautiful architecture and tranquil surroundings. Then visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam under the Dinh and Le dynasties (968–980), where temples honor the kings of the past in a peaceful spiritual setting.

Day 6: Ninh Binh – Halong Bay Overnight Cruise (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Ninh Binh – Halong: ≈ 220 km

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Halong Bay, the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site known as “The Descending Dragon.”

Board the cruise for an unforgettable experience in the emerald waters of Halong Bay, surrounded by thousands of limestone islands. Spend the night on board while enjoying activities such as kayaking, swimming, cave exploration, and admiring the breathtaking scenery.

Dinner with fresh local seafood will be served on board, with alternative options available. Overnight on the cruise.

Day 7: Halong – Hanoi – Flight to Da Nang – Hoi An, the Lantern City (Breakfast) (Without guide)

Halong – Hanoi: ≈ 300 km

Da Nang International Airport – Hotel in Hoi An: ≈ 35km

At 6:30 AM, you may join a relaxing Tai Chi session on the sundeck while enjoying the sunrise over the bay. Breakfast will be served afterward as the cruise continues through Halong Bay.

At around 11:00 AM, disembark from the cruise. Return to Hanoi and transfer to the airport with our private driver (without guide) for your flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An – Cam Thanh Village (Breakfast, Lunch)

In the morning, visit Cam Thanh Village, a charming Vietnamese village near Hoi An known for its natural beauty and authentic local culture. Explore the countryside by bicycle through rice fields and peaceful coconut groves. Enjoy a boat ride along quiet canals and experience the daily life of the villagers.

Participate in a cooking class to discover the secrets of Vietnamese cuisine using fresh local ingredients. End the experience with a relaxing foot massage at a traditional local spa.

After lunch in the village, return to Hoi An Ancient Town, famous for its lantern-lit streets, historic architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, Quan Cong Temple, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, one of the ancient houses, and the local market. Overnight in Hoi An.

 

Day 9: Hoi An – Hue Visit – Imperial Citadel (Breakfast)

Hoi An – Hue: ≈ 150km

Spend the day exploring Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam, rich in royal history and cultural heritage.

Enjoy a sampan boat ride on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most iconic spiritual sites. Visit the Imperial Citadel, where you will discover the grandeur of Vietnam’s royal past.

In the afternoon, visit Khai Dinh Tomb, a unique and beautifully designed royal mausoleum. Continue to Dong Ba Market, famous for local specialties, handicrafts, textiles, ceramics, and traditional Vietnamese souvenirs.

Day 10: Hue – Flight to Sai Gon – Sai Gon City Tour (Breakfast)

Hotel – Phu Bai International Airport: ≈ 2km

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Hue Airport for your flight to Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh City).

Today, Ho Chi Minh City is a vibrant metropolis that combines modern urban life with rich historical heritage.

Visit the Central Post Office, one of the city’s most iconic colonial buildings, designed with influences from Gustave Eiffel. Nearby is Book Street, a peaceful pedestrian area lined with bookstores, cafés, and creative spaces.

Continue the city tour with Ben Thanh Market, one of the symbols of Sai Gon, where you can find local products, handicrafts, spices, souvenirs, and traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

End the tour with a visit to the Jade Emperor Pagoda, one of the most important Taoist temples in Ho Chi Minh City, rich in spiritual symbolism and traditional Sino-Vietnamese architecture.

Day 11: Sai Gon – Ben Tre, the Coconut Land – Sai Gon (Breakfast, Lunch)

Saigon – Ben Tre: ≈ 90km

Arrival at Ben Tre pier for a boat trip along the Ben Tre River, one of the branches of the Mekong Delta. Observe local daily life, fishing activities, and boats transporting coconuts along the river.

Visit a traditional brick kiln and a coconut workshop to learn about the coconut processing stages. Continue through small canals lined with coconut palms and stop at a coconut candy workshop where you can taste local sweets, tropical fruits, and enjoy traditional music.

Take a walk to a local family house where sleeping mats are handmade. Continue by tuk-tuk through coconut groves before enjoying a rowing boat ride along shaded canals. Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant.

Return to Ben Tre pier by motorboat and transfer back to Sai Gon. Overnight in Sai Gon.

Day 12: Departure from Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast)

Hotel – Tan Son Nhat International Airport: ≈ 10km

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy free time for shopping, relaxing, or exploring the city at your own pace before departure.

At the scheduled time, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for your flight home.

End of the 12-day journey in Vietnam.
