VIETNAM

Vietnam is a tropical monsoon country that stretches all the way down to the Equator, with different natural climate and monsoon conditions in the north and south. A cold and humid winter in the North contrasts with the warm atmosphere of Tet and spring in the South.

LAOS

The Lao People’s Democratic Republic is a landlocked Southeast Asian country. Laos is bounded to the northwest by Myanmar and China, to the east by Vietnam, to the south by Cambodia, and to the west by Thailand.

CAMBODIA

Cambodia, also known as the “country of pagodas and towers,” is located in the southwest of the Indochina peninsula; it borders Thailand on the west and northwest, Vietnam on the east, Laos on the northeast, and the sea on the south. The capital, Phnom Penh, is Cambodia’s largest city and the country’s political, economic, and cultural center.

SRI LANKA

Sri Lanka was once the center of Buddhist religion and culture in ancient times due to its strategic location on the strategic maritime link between West Asia and Southeast Asia. Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, and other indigenous religions are practiced by some people in this country.

INDIA

India is a South Asian country that encompasses the majority of the Indian peninsula. India shares borders with China, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Afghanistan. With a population of over one billion people, India is the world’s second most populous country and the seventh largest in terms of area.

Myanmar

Myanmar, officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, is a Southeast Asian country known as Burma (the official name until 1989). It is the largest country by land area in Mainland Southeast Asia, with a population of approximately 54 million people in 2017.

BHUTAN

Bhutan is a landlocked country in South Asia’s eastern Himalayas. Bhutan borders China to the north and India to the south, east, and west. Bhutan is separated from Nepal by the Indian state of Sikkim, and from Bangladesh by the Indian states of Assam and West Bengal further south. Bhutan’s capital and largest city is Thimphu.
