Grand Mekong Discovery – Part 2

This travel itinerary from Saigon gives you a broad view and authentic experience of Southern Vietnam. Known as Vietnam’s “rice bowl”, the rich soil of the Mekong Delta supports bountiful orchards and fields producing rice, coconuts, sugar cane and a variety of exotic fruits. Day 06: Tra Vinh – Sa Dec – Long Xuyen (Meals: )

Mekong discovery: Khmer villages, Kien An Cung pagoda, famous Huynh Thuy Le’s house, crocodile farm.

Start the day with a bike ride through the nursery fields. Continue to visit some Khmer villages including Canh Dai, Tra Khao, Giong Lon… Then depart by car to Huynh Ky’s family house, dated back to the beginning of the 20th century, which has preserved a mixture of oriental and Western architecture.

Transfer to Long Xuyen via Sa Dec where we visit Kien An Cung pagoda, then visit Huynh Thuy Le’s house from the novel by Marguerite Duras “ L’Amant – the Lover”,  Discover the local market in Sa Dec which is rich in fruits, vegetables, and fish. Continue to Long Xuyen, and visit Cao Dai temple and a crocodile farm on route. Stay overnight in Long Xuyen.

Day 07: – Long Xuyen –  Ho Chi Minh City (Meals: )

Mekong discovery: Long Xuyen floating village, Cu Lao Ong Ho island

In the morning, transfer to the floating market and floating village in Long Xuyen which are animated and authentic on a small tributary of the Mekong River. Discover the daily activities of people living by the river. Enjoy a boat trip to Cu Lao Ong Ho where there is a small museum about our famous president Ton Duc Thang. Take a bike ride on the island and enjoy the beauty of the peaceful landscapes.

Take the road back to Saigon and check in at your hotel in the late afternoon. 

Day 08:  Ho Chi Minh City (Meals: )

From Saigon, flying to other destinations

A private driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby for about 30 minutes to Tan Son Nhat airport (international or domestic hall according to your request). Thanks for the visit to our city.

Note: International flights require you to be at the airport 3 hours and domestic is 2 hours before departure time.

In the rush hour (07:00 – 08:30 AM and 16:30 – 18:30 PM), it takes around 1 hour from the city center to Tan Son Nhat airport.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Payment for the tour is a fundamental part of the tour’s income and contributes to the overall cost of equipment, running costs, staffing, administration, etc. As the Company will have incurred the majority of its costs before the tour starts, we need to impose cancellation charges to cover these costs.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your booking, we will impose cancellation charges as follows:

• 30 days or more prior to departure – loss of deposit
• 15-29 days before departure – 30% of tour cost*
• 7-14 days before departure – 50% of tour cost*
• 6 or fewer days before departure – 80% of tour cost*

* or deposit if greater.

Tailor-made tours may be subject to alternative cancellation terms, which will be communicated to applicable Clients at the time of booking.

All cancellations must be in writing and be made by the person who submitted the booking form. Please send an email to your contact at the Company, with a copy to info@advantour.com.

Once the tour has started, no refund for any unused portion or part of the tour or services to be provided will be given. If you want to make any changes to the tour, or depart the tour early, such alteration or departure will be entirely at your own expense and liability. You will also need to communicate in writing to the tour operator your reason for leaving the tour. 

IMPORTANT NOTES

3. The passport’s validity should be a minimum of 6 months from the intended return date.

5. Traveling to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand requires travel insurance covering the cost of medical evacuation flights.

PASSPORT

Every consumer is required to have a current passport and visa. You are accountable for acquiring a valid Vietnam visa. At the LPC Travel office upon arrival, all passports and visas must be produced. Before entering any location where we conduct tours, a photocopy will be created in our office and given to the local police for registration.

DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT

While making a reservation, you will need to pay a deposit or deposits. You will be told by your advisor how much that will cost. Depending on the specifics of the trip and the up-front expenses LPC Travel may incur, deposit amounts can vary significantly. The needed deposit sum will be confirmed after you indicate your desire to book your trip.

Credit cards and bank transfers are accepted forms of payment. LPC Travel will not impose any bank or credit card fees, however it might be wise for you to confirm, before making the payment, whether your bank and/or credit card provider will assess any foreign transaction fees or other fees. LPC Travel disclaims responsibility for any additional fees imposed by your bank or credit card company.

RESPONSIBILITY

It is taken very seriously to guarantee that suppliers uphold high standards. Nevertheless, since we do not run restaurants, hotels, or home stays, we are unable to be held accountable for any issues arising from the booking unless they were specifically caused by our carelessness or the fault of one of our employees.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We firmly advise you to purchase suitable travel insurance to protect your travel plans. Your insurance coverage should at the very least cover cancellation, medical and repatriation costs, accidental death, loss of personal property, personal injury, and personal liability insurance.
